Oriental Noodle & Vegetable Stir Fry


  • sunflower or nut oil
  • 500 g frozen Oriental stir-fry
  • 400 g ready-cooked Japanese Udon Noodles
  • 250 ml 5-spice barbecue sauce
  • 30 ml Japanese-style soy sauce
  • a few drops toasted sesame oil (optional)


Using a little oil, cook the stir-fry as directed in a wok or pan. Remove from heat and keep vegetables warm in a mixing bowl. Add a little more oil to the same pan and stir-fry the noodles for a minute. Add to vegetables. Pour the barbecue and soy sauce into the pan and cook rapidly until reduced and thickened. Return vegetables and noodles to pan and toss until mixed. Serve sprinkled with a few drops of toasted sesame oil.
