  • 600 g Sasko Cake Flour
  • 5 ml salt
  • 15 ml sugar
  • 1 x 10 g sachet instant yeast
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 250 ml warm water
  • 1 jar, tomato pizza sauce
  • 1-2 red pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 100 g salami slices
  • 250 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 5 ml italian herbs
  • 500 g mozzarella cheese (or cheddar cheese), grated
  • fresh basil to garnish

For the base:
Combine flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Add oil to water and add slowly to dough to give you a dough that is soft but not sticky.
It's better if the dough is slightly wet than dry. On a lightly floured surface knead dough for 5 minutes until smooth.

Place dough in a lightly oiled plastic bag and leave in a warm place untill dough doubles in size. Knock back dough by kneading again for a couple of minutes.

For the topping:
Divide dough into quarters. Roll into a round shape. Place onto greased baking trays, spread with tomato sauce. Top with red pepper and finish off with salami and mushroom slices.

Sprinkle over cheese and bake in a preheated oven of 200 C for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with basil.
