Puri (Indian Fried Bread)


  • ¾ cup Sasko Cake Flour
  • ¼ cup Sasko Brown Bread Flour
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • room temperature water to knead into soft pliable dough
  • 500 ml sunflower oil for deep frying


Sift the cake flour into a dish, add the brown flour, rub in the ghee until it resembles bread crumbs, and add enough tap water to form a soft pliable dough.

Divide the dough into equal sizes (about the size of a ping pong ball) and roll into circles before deep frying.

Serve with my Chana Masala.
