Breakfast in a Biscuit


  • 125 g soft margarine
  • 250 ml sugar (200g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 30 ml peanut butter
  • 5 ml vanilla essence
  • 250 ml Sasko Cake Flour (120g)
  • 5 ml baking powder
  • 5 ml bicarbonate of soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 250 ml corn flakes
  • 250 ml oats (90g)
  • 250 ml desiccated coconut (80g)

Chef's hint: If you're feeling like a 2-in-1 biscuit, sandwich two together with peanut butter or chocolate spread.


Preheat the oven to 180C.

Beat the margarine and sugar together until creamy and light, mix in the egg, peanut butter and vanilla essence.

Sift the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt in a bowl, stir in the corn flakes, oats and coconut. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix to form dough.

Roll dough into small golf balls. Arrange on a greased baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.

Makes 40 - 45 biscuits.
