Using a stick blender is the easiest and quickest way to make homemade mayonnaise. Always use fresh eggs, like Nulaid eggs. Watch the video to see how easy and quick it is.

No-fuss Mayonnaise


  • 1 Nulaid jumbo egg
  • 15 ml vinegar or lemon juice
  • 250 ml oil
  • 2.5 ml fine table salt

Hint: You can use a combination of sunflower and olive oil and you can add any herb or spice you like. Try chopped basil and garlic. Or chopped garlic, chilli and coriander. With a little imagination and a few minutes to spare, you can always have delicious, interesting, fresh and economical mayonnaise to serve and enjoy!


Place the Nulaid egg in a tall container or jug, then add the ingredients in the sequence give: after the egg, add the vinegar and then the salt.

Place the stick blender into the bottom of the jug and start blending until the mixture begins to emulsify. Gently pull the blender upwards to complete the process.

Yields about 300 ml mayonnaise
